None. Just joint venture on boys DA and pre-ECNL.

Pre-ECNL is a joke. Worse than RTC. Whole point is to get little girls drinking the $10k a year Kool-aid.

Fcp is sinking. They are again, caught up with trying to support a national league when they don't have the players and forced to recruit, don't have the coaches so they are forced to sell their league, and don't have the don't have the oversight with docs with other commitments.

        They were better off before.

Sounds like you're talking about Thorns Academy instead. Thorns actually have all the problems you mention, AND they are corrupt as well. FC and CU are doing just fine. Both have grown substantially in size and are more than competitive at the national level with their "A" teams, and clearly extremely competitive in OYSA with their "B" teams. Doesn't sound like they "don't have the players". Probably what you meant is that they didn't take your daughter at tryouts so obviously they don't have the best player in the state. Right, Timbers Lemming Caveman Clown?

Fcp has a problem with their crop of 04s - the team isn't strong at all - bottom of the pack in fall league and just got bumped down to Premier Silver for spring. They will have a very hard time building a solid ECNL team with this as their basis. And there aren't enough NEU girls to save them either - skills on that team also totally lacking.

FCP is already recruiting players from other clubs to come to 04 tryouts. They do this every year because they don't know how to develop players from within. ECNL in Oregon is a joke. Oregon teams finished in bottom 20 percent nationally last year.

Man some old farts feel threatened by girl soccer players from 2 clubs train together on a cold February night?

                  Seriously boys get a life.

Every club has an "Academy" for the u10s to get them ready for competitive OYSA play the next year. Clubs in ECNL have "pre-ECNL" teams to help get them ready for playing ECNL. Of course, little sips of Kool Aid are included in both situations. That's just how club sports work. Same reason ODP added RTC...oh wait, that's just a giant money grab and a much bigger Kool Aid dispensing scheme. Face it, that's simply how pay to play youth sports work & thrive. Anyone in it has spent ridiculous amounts of money on a game. My kids love it and we can afford it so, why not? Ecnl is no more a joke than any other soccer choice in Oregon.

No need to recruit. The girls will always move to the top clubs at U14+. That means moving away from Timbers/GPS to FCP/CU. Just the way it is. Of course, those left behind will make up stories about how their teammates were "recruited" away by the big, bad ECNL clubs. Truth is, the top athletes move on to where they can get development and exposure to college coaches, while the pine riders get left behind to play in OYSA.

I also heard we've got new DOC's for boys and girls but I haven't seen them yet! Any truth on that matter?

NEU is riding FC's coat tails in the boys DA just to sell the BS to their members. We have to travel over there to practice sometimes, it's ridiculous!

Before what? Back in the day when my kids were playing people anonymous TS'ers predicted FC's demise. Looks like they're still around and my guess is they aren't going anywhere. In my long experience observing club soccer in Oregon is that few clubs consistently and competitively field at least two teams in every age bracket for both boys and girls. So I'm not sure why your perception is that FC is sinking. Their ECNL results are OK and guess what? That's OK. Their U16 girls have a chance to be real special but only time will tell. I hate to break it to you, clubs recruit, so do high schools, colleges, businesses and charitable organizations. Anyway, apparently you have an axe to grind because it's obvious your DD doesn't play for the club. Really explain why you give a $h!t? Or is it just haters got to hate.
