Something to do with the paperwork, more than 1 team was disqualified. Does anyone have specific details?

I heard it was the Lancers presidents Husbands team that disqualified. Using over aged kids two years older. What a great role-model for kids.

See for yourself. The U8, U9, and U10 boys teams were disqualified. I am not sure what is sadder.
- Plant City kids that have no idea why they couldn't play or win
- Plant City daddy coaches EV, HA, and even JV (Presiden'ts husband) trying to use older players or even players w/o being aged verified in their passes. Is U8/U9/U10 ... why cheat?
- Our Fish Hawk coaches being involved so we would almost win by default in all 3 groups.

Why do you think this is shameful?? This is done all the time in South Florida... trying to pass off a 19-year-old as a U16 player is the usual... so why not start at U9...

And if the goals are locked they just get 20 of them together and break the goals to use them.

Apologies?
The kids were disqualified because the coaches did not have copies of the birth certificates, but were not asked originally to bring them. The very next Monday.... EVERY SINGLE child on that team (and all younger teams) was verified. We had never been asked to verify younger teams before for this tournament, so we simply didn't know. We had an older team there that was verified, so they were not sent home. SO therefore, it was proven that no one cheated. We just weren't aware that a team would complain because they got beat so bad and demand birth certificates. I mean, how many coaches carry around copies of birth certificates? Any way, our club is forbidden by our board to play in this tournament in the future. Plant City, now, has an amazing club that follows all the rules. Do we make mistakes, sure. But this was not a mistake. How can you be disqualified for something that you were not asked for to begin with and then just expected to have it when you are an hour away from home? A team was mad they got beat bad, so they made up a lie, and hurt children in the process. Not to mention teaching the awesome example of sportsmanship. Our very same team.... with the exact same players... went on to win other tournaments that year, Verified. That is a fact and can't be disputed.
