More like Nutrageous. It is less than half that.

Ok, FC and CU combined had 40 college signings this year. Thorns had ZERO.

So even if Thorns is half that, then you got some issues to work out.

Thorns will be under $10,000 a year. That will all be explained before try outs.

Thorns Academy has not produced many college soccer commits at U18 because of turnover. There have been a few over the years.

Some that were committed, did so before they joined the Thorns. No track record of players advancing to college. Forget about the pros.

There are some college players produced over the years. So it is unfair to say they haven't.

The flyer this year said less than $10,000.00.

It's pretty easy to figure out the cost. How many times will they travel? Times $750. 10x$750=$8200. Plus flat fee of $2000. So ten thousand is probably not far off.

Unless of course someone steps up with a quarter of a million dollars per team to cover those costs.

Same price as ECNL but will have more scholarship funding.

Quarter mil is pocket change for timbers.

Unless Peregrine is able to absorb the costs using the incredibly profitable revenue streams in place with the OYSA League fees and Cup fees funneled to them. Wait, they have already said they were doing this, 4 teams in the GDA for 10% of the cost of FC PDX or CU currently
where you gunna tryout. $1500 GDA or $15,000 CU or FC PDX.

Timbers will step up and take care of the $250,000 per team per year. They make a lot of money selling scarves and tshirts and tickets to timbers games. No problem here they will pay for it all.

It will be much like this year with girls spread out doing Ecnl, Academy & club soccer.

Funding from where? USSF? Sista puhleeze. It amounts to less than 2 players per team, unless a club is kicking in additional ones on top of that. And since the clubs have to at least attempt to lower their fees (and thus reduce their profits, possibly even take a loss) do you really think they'll be handing out scholarships like candy? Oh - and any scholarship is for fees only - travel is still on the parent dime.

Link to the amazing information about the $1500 GDA?

                                Didn't think so...
