Why are some AP players not picked to travel with their team to tournaments. Do they stay
on the team for the AP status alone? How is this going to make them better by not playing. I understand that just the top 11 players will play most of game but these girls should be able to play at least 5-10min shifts each half. And are they paying for these tournaments they are not invited to play at just not the hotel. Honest question, just has me feeling bad for some of these players and their parents. Would it be best if they just dropped down a level so they can play and develop?

I would like to understand this too. Any SSS parents willing to shed a little light here?

This weekend the guest players weren't left behind, they play next week in jeff cup. in general some girls do not get rostered for every tournament game and they know this is a possibility before accepting their spot. the girls often choose to stay on the top team because the training there is better and they value that above missing an occasional tournament game. players are welcome to drop a level but they don't seem to choose that option. nothing is a surprise and if you agree to the terms then you accept the terms. maybe you wouldn't choose if for your daughter, which is great. but some see the value in it despite the occasional disappointment and thats great too.

One of those famous ''bend over and take one for the team" spiels that the select are famous for. Seriously their claims of superior training are as fake news as Trumps wire tapping claims.

Wire tapping claim is true mate. Turn off your main stream media.

SSS has the best training and coaching in Mass. If they didn't ,why would this thread go on for so long.

Thanks for the insight. Was just trying to figure out how it worked. Agreed it is up to each player to decide if that is what they want for themselves.

Do you think that's a good record? Moral victory?

McLean ECNL 2001 might be the best team in the country at this age group and SSS played them with a mostly 02 team.

McLean will win that age group at the Ecnl playoffs. Look up their results. Great team !

Who cares. Their teams will fall apart as they get older.
