Summer ID Camps -- Ivy League Coaches Attending -- Recommendations??

I have a kid that really wants to consider playing Ivy League soccer. I know there's a lot more parts involved in playing at an Ivy League with soccer/grades/etc ... So without getting a slew of advise on showcases ... ( yes we know ) I was wondering if anyone had a daughter attend an ID Camp over the summer up in the New England area that might have had a good attendance from Ivy League coaches and that you thought was a good camp that you would suggest ?? Thanks!!!

Cool , just email the coach beforehand. See if they get a response . Just remember no scholarships for ivy leagues. Just a incentive to get in if you don’t have a really high gpa

She does have a high GPA ... but she's looking for a balance in college of soccer/academics/social... and thought this might be a good avenue to a future going on to medical school... money for college isn't an issue...

Thanks to the poster with info on the camp !!!

Then Ivy might not be the best fit - it's D1 with still a heavy spring commitment. Look into D3 where there is no official spring season - there's still practices and scrimmages, but none official and 100 times more manageable. Coaches at D3s know kids are more about the academics first and athletes have a much more balanced life. Any med school path will require loads of science classes and a D1 schedule becomes nearly impossible with all the labs required. You want solid soccer and top notch academics, especially for STEM. Look into the

UAA - bigger D3s that feel like D1
NESCAC - smaller schools with top notch academics as well
Several other top D3 schools like Johns Hopkins that are scattered in a few other divisions.

Coaches can't respond until Summer after sophomore year so attending ID events can be a crap shoot. Even at the Ivies coaches focus on the players they're really interested in and the rest help pad their budgets. Is the player attending any showcases? Ivies go to the events so write them ahead of time, send video, and see if they come watch you. Include your academic resume because they generally won't bother if you're not an admit candidate.

Also, there are several events in the NE that have multiple schools attending, often Ivies too. Google it, or write the Ivies and see which ones they are attending. Much more efficient than going them all separately.

But is soccer realistic for this player? Look at their rosters - there are loads of ECNL and DA players there. It's not just super smart but ok players as is the stereotype. Do your research. As suggested above, there are loads of great D3 schools that could be a better fit for pre Med and soccer

I would definitely look at the Soccer Masters Camps. I have heard great things, and they have head coaches from most of the Ivy Leagues, plus Stanford and a few others. The summer camps are posted yet, but the January camp sold out pretty quickly.
