Top Hat being punished by ECNL too. History lesson, TopHat was an original ECNL foundation club. Top Hat' was on the ECNL Board of Directors.
When the other ecnl directors dropped their GDA teams after the first year, TopHat did not. ECNL took it's shield.
Another top national team not in ECNL.

Please name the clubs that are better and that should be in the ECNL. Again, not teams, but entire clubs. Sure NEFC and Tophat are both very good, and both were in the ECNL. Currently, Tophat has lost players to other ECNL clubs, and NEFC has lost the Breakers advantage. Maybe they will let them back in, but there really isn't a reason to do so anymore.

The only clubs that should be in ECNL are CUP, Beadling, Baltimore Celtic, Cedar Stars and maybe Oakwood. But CUP, Cedar Stars and Oakwood function for the boys, so they don't really care.

There are no other clubs in PA that could support ECNL, other than PA Classic or HMMS.

False, Tophat was not an original ECNL club. Both Tophat and NEFC came late to the league and then both left early.

What makes you think HMMS could support ECNL? What is this based on?

ECNL approached TopHat in 2013. I was in GA during that time, my sister was in club and I would help out. We used this.

Btw - the u14 team they are discussing was the u18/u19 gda team in gda first year. They were great. Several girls at UNC and other top soccer programs today. One has played with US WNT; senior team.

Thereafter, topHat joined and became an ECNL powerhouse. Dir. Troy G was made part of ecnl board of directors.

NEFC joined ECNL for only a yr before GDA formed. They were a very, very late addition to the ECNL league.

HMMS has a history of producing good players, or at least good players come out of the area. Unfortunately for HMMS, those good players have historically left the club for better playing opportunities at other clubs on both the boys and girls sides. Their high school program is also a reflection of the local talent as the boys and girls programs are consistently competing for state championships. I don’t have the recent numbers, but CRUSA, HMMS and West Chester United (Penn Fusion) had the largest membership in EPYSA. The numbers alone could support ECNL and ECNLR, but a collaboration with other clubs in Central PA would certainly be an attractive addition to the ECNL. PA Classics are not going to leave for ECNL.

So competing for State Cups and having a large number of players are the 2 reasons you think HMMS could 'support ECNL & RL'? Sorry to burst your bubble but the recent numbers at HMMS, or Eagle FC, as they are now known aren't impressive. They don't have any 05, 06, 08 or 09 teams. The club has 22 teams in total?

And the ECNL are not going to allow a collaboration with HMMS and any other club in central PA to join. Stick to the state cups buddy

If a current ECNL club's RL team is doing great then they are eligible for 2nd ECNL team. Same goes for a non ECNL club. If a current ECNL club is consistently rolling out poor teams they'll end up with 2 RL teams. This is essentially the same deal that was worked out by US Soccer and the ECNL. Covid with all of its uncertainties and the DA's rushed announcement last year and the made scrample it caused tempered this plan.

Also be on the look out for an emphasis on the Super Club competition and an "ODP" like team within each ECNL conference - RL players will be eligible. This is where the best of the best will play. HS soccer will be discouraged.

Because of the above and ussoccer realizing that grouping kids by talent level and not age is the best path for development the whole birth year experiment will go away. This will appease the NCAA, grassroot clubs, and support the 60% participation growth us soccer set.

NCAA will go to a fall (Aug to Nov) and spring (Mar -Jun) schedule with 2 dead weekends in the fall (Labor Day, Columbus) and 2 in the spring (early April, memorial day). Plus a winter break. It is during these dead periods when the ecnl showcase events will take place.

You heard it here first. Pieces are falling into place now. 22-23 season is the target for the full scale implementation.

I agree with the poster that the Harrisburg area club would be a good addition. PA Classics should move the girls program to ECNL.

Let's put it another way ecnl clubs like FCB are developing relatively poor players and they bring in so many players during the high school years to replace the ones they failed on .... And they still suck. What is a club with a history of producing very good ulittles had the badge and not oybretained those players in high school but added some new very good players? Sorry, even with a badge there are plenty of non ecnl clubs that can easily play with or beat fcb despite their monumental disadvantage and player losses who are looking for bigger ponds and greener pastures.

So few players at FCB started at CRUSA that it doesn't matter which club holds the "badge". This is why ECNL is looking to replace/demote them. Rumor is that YMS is taking over the brand.

YMS??? ECNL requires they have two girls teams per age group. YMS is SO POORLY RUN their missing entire age groups. Get your facts straight before embarrassing another club.
