Some people are so ridiculous it is unbelievable. From the inside, if you are and your kid played for GB, you would actually tell a different story. It was actually sad moving to monteverde with a new coach. He is a great coach and all the other crap being slung is someone just excited to try and put OC down.

If you are at monteverde you know it is no longer OC. It is completely separate, you might as well be at Rush.

With the allure of DA now gone, they are going to have a hard time holding on to (let alone attracting) good players. ENCL? It is not DA, but a fine league. But if GB and CM are your coaches, that is a different story. Many put up with them to play DA, but it was a bitter pill to swallow. Don't think ENCL will have the same staying power. No one who knows anything about development would want their kid training with the dynamic duo.

They have been booted from DA. OCYS numbers are bad and will probably lose fields and youth club in 2019. So they so have no home. They are both getting old and their kids are gone. Time to hang it up is very close.

You don't lose fields you own. That is not a county owned or city owned facility. The youth club owns the fields you troll.

Not sure OCYS solved the dilemma of keeping a winning team together and providing opportunities for better players to move up. So, some teams would start off strong and then falter as the better players were moved around the club. When the DA was moved to Lake County, several of the DA players were then moved to ECNL displacing kids that worked very hard to get to the ECNL. The displaced kids looked to move to other clubs, scaled back playing to concentrate on academics, or found other interests.

That is an outright lie. No DA players were moved to ecnl

a) Most will move to OC ecnl
b) Some will move to other ecnl clubs that closer now that DA is history
c) A few will make the drive to another DA club if they are good enough to crack the squad for their age group and the parent is willing to drive.
d) Kids who are committed will play for fun and to keep in shape.

Not a fan of OC but don't like to see this happen to any club. Less choices and less opportunities is not a good thing.

Have to agree with you on all the point except #1. Most should be replaced with a few. I dont see most going OC ECNL, well at least us and others we know.

You don't lose fields you own. That is not a county owned or city owned facility. The youth club owns the fields you troll.

You can't keep what you can't afford. OC won't be able to afford the complex very soon. Don't be so discriminatory against trolls. We know a thing or two.
