All NSL clubs are scrambling now. Not much of a choice. There will be two or three more clubs that do the same by the end of the weekend, guaranteed.

Have you looked at the NSL recently? Still a ton of small local clubs in there to survive. It’s the the farm system for NEP ... where some young players can dip their toe into club soccer, or older players no longer interested in playing soccer past HD can go to “retire” in their junior/senior years. Smaller, cheaper and still keeps them playing.

Isn't NEP the farm system for GDA DA ECNL NPL?
Basically NEP is the old maple. It's kind of funny I think we basically have come full circle or where we started 4 or 5 years ago.

Hey kids - we merged with a club two hours from our base location. Our teams will still be awful, but at least Seacoast is a cool name.

Definite curveball, everyone saying PT has it locked up and then RW and MR go with Seacoast. It's kinda cool, what's the point being LFC, NEFC, GPS, FCUSA when they are on your doorstep. I mean, LFC took over Weymouth United 😂 no self respecting club is joining LFC after that (or before that, really). Seacoast need a solid base in Mass, and Mass City want a way into the NEP. Makes sense to me.

What the hell is Weymouth United? Did they win Jefferson Cup?

RW has not sold Mass City. He will pay Seacoast a license fee to gain access to the NEP. A good move, all around. The real question is how the parents react when they get blown out by Select, FCUSA etc. let’s fave it, they are a decent/mediocre NSL club. They have coaches that have been fired by other clubs, more than once. They won’t make a real difference, regardless of what they claim.
