    This I understand but most tournaments only allow so many guest players per team, usually two or three.

      It’s a tournament stupid....not an NEP league game. You submit a roster, waivers and pass cards and pay your fee. At least know what you are talking about. You must work for WUP as you are clueless

        Hey Stupid, look at the tournament rules. Again most tournaments only allow a certain amount of “guest players”. If they are not on their officialub roster they are considered guest players. Did you even know that? Did you also know that you have to get permission from the club which that “ guest player” plays for. By permission that means they need their US Club player pass. Do you know why they do that? You must work for GPS and are ignorant.

            Did you see any refs check rosters or pass cards at the games? You turn in your roster two weeks before the tournament. You could play anyone you want at these matches.

              Bayside quietly making some big mergers. Interesting to see how they’ve really done this under the radar.

                Western United being affiliated with bayside makes as much sense as Seacoast and mass city does. Not sure sharing resources means. It's about a 2 hour drive between them.
                Why doesn't nep every club in? Why do clubs even have to apply? All they have to do is pay a club that's in nep. Which won't coast the club much because they will just add it to the tuition.

                  Between these three new clubs, looks like about 30 new teams of kids will be wearing bayside kits next season. That’s a pretty decent number of teams.

                      It’s Western Mass FC not Western United. WMFC is a NSL club w a couple pretty decent little teams. Not sure if you meant to write Western United. Still to your point geographically it does not make a ton of sense other than every NEP club is trying to gobble up NSL clubs no matter where they are. Of the remaining Western Mass NSL clubs (Mutiny, Euro, Berkshire IFC and Springfield FC) seems like only Mutiny is linked to another program at this time. Although the longer into the tryout season this goes the less likely a Mutiny-WUP merger looks.

                        Update to a previous poster's list, based on recent comments:

                        1) JSSA --> FCUSA
                        2) Noreaster North --> FCUSA
                        3) Explosion --> Bolts
                        4) Mass City --> Seacoast
                        5) Galway Rovers --> GPS
                        6) Western MA FC --> Bayside
                        7) Strikers United --> Bolts
                        8) Hammer --> EDP / Eastern Conference

                        I can't recall any others so far, but I didn't pick through each and every post. I feel like one or two are missing.

                            The clubs that are left with double digit teams are NERush, CFC, Mach1, NOVA, Rams FC, St. Michaels Youth, Green Lions and Vipers FC. Approximately 80 teams give or take a few just between those 7 clubs. Every other club is in the single digits with most of those carrying one or two teams. Lost a lot of teams but still have quite a few left.

                              They only have a couple of NSL teams this spring, but here's another one going under the Seacoast flag:

                              This is the fourth Seacoast branded club in essex county. Seems like overkill.

                                Yup, lots of tiny clubs with a couple teams. That tells me that a good sized club like Rush w/ 22+ teams and some fairly strong ones on both B and G sides, will be standing on a deserted island if they stay.
