How many CT girls are on the rosters of the NYCFC GDA teams? Seems like a nasty drive over the bridge four times a week.

Is NYCFC GDA subsidized by the MLS parent? Or do the girls pay full price to play?

Still less than NYSC, OW, LISC, and FURY. Still sucks that its not supported, alas money is money, and NYCFC are in the money making business. However, its a two-way street, they offer excellent training and positive social environment for the players, my family, and I, are very happy with the results.

If the cost were subsidized, then there would be greater demand and it would sway (qualified/talented) players from other clubs and other leagues. The more players that are interested, the more selective they can be.

We are in agreement. Funded teams get a lot of interest and a lot of the best talent seeking to join. So for the players selected, the costs to their families go down and the talent level of the team goes up. That is a win win. that is what the boys get.

The other great thing about funded teams is that, in theory, they should be club and coach controlled and not parent controlled since the parents are not financing everything.
