Ha, seriously? That's what you got? One-sided opinions about the ref, so of course you'd think he'd play on. There are stewards roaming around, and if they saw a field with nobody playing on it, you can be darn sure they'd want to know why.

You enablers really are something else. Does it apply to all ex-college players, or just those from Penn State?

so you think the best way is to question the ref during the game ? Wrong. Thats called dissent and its punishable by yellow and/or red cads. It seems some enablers are trying to change the narrative.

if we has doing it to prevent further injury to his players, why would you stay on the field and allow the ref to continue to endanger kids while you sat in the car? Probably getting closer to the truth here. Some are exaggerating the foul and CK was not really that concerned for overall payer safety.

It applies to any reasonable coach who feels like his player/team was being treated unfairly. Doesn't need to be an ex-college player or Penn State grad.

A coach asking for an explanation of a call is absolutely the first option before pulling your team from the field. And if there's a disagreement about the call, then yes, expressing the disagreement is also the right thing to do before pulling your team from the field. The ask and the expression of disagreement should be done without insults and not get personal. FAR better than simply calling your players to walk off the field without giving the ref a chance to explain him/herself.

Narrative change alert. The suggestion here was that this was in response to repeated bad calls and players being endangered. The assumption is that calls had already been questioned. If this was ONE call that led to a red, then ...even worse.

Seriously, are the same two people just going back and forth? Why don't you guys exchange numbers so you can have a cozy chat about the integrity of the DOC and what the ref was thinking? Is nothing else going on at WCFC that we have to examine the red card episode from all angles? What's next? Do we need to have the ref join the discussion and give his take on the fouls and the red card? Next please!!!!
