clearly to this point, as good as you think she is, the people you are desperate to please have not yet taken notice.
Be patient and if you are right, it will be obvious to all.

Well apparently he is not alone in that position as a pretty prominent college coach apparently agrees with him.
Way too sensitive. the posts about the kids have been intially positive. A few parents of kids not specifically mentioned got heir panties in a bunch about their kids being called role players.
Well news flash, every team has role players. They are interchangeable with many others in the area. There is nothing personal said about the game, but some have taken the commentary personally. The original commentary did not name, number or even initial kids. The super proper police object probably because there is no chance their kid would generate a nice shout out.

The amusing part here is that so much of this is relative to the level of college competition a kid lands at. No matter what that level is, shouldn't the major criteria for evaluating club success should be whether or a kid goes on to impact and have a successful career where ever they end up. Shouldn't that be the home run everyone should be focusing on trying to achieve, instead of just merely making some roster at level of rpi. Lets face it, most kids around here aren't going to ACC level programs and yet that is all most of you seem to care about. You are using an artificial measure that few get to measure themselves against. The reality is there are a lot of kids that some of you are crossing off as role players at the club level that will go on to have very successful college careers simply because they chose well. Shouldn't success signify a good decision instead of the league they came from?

So I believe that as exactly as stated, the original post during tryout times was to show people what the level was so that they would be able to help their children make informed decisions. Probably the title could have been ECNL level and shown Stars games if they are out there.
Then someone had to post the inevitable DA is a surprisingly low level. My guess is they watched a small segment of a game or two if any at all and knew what they were going to post before they actually did. Then someone said hey despite your assessment, there were some great players out there on the field. Also that yes lots of local kids could fill the roles of some playerson the field. Then there was some back and forth about the characteristics of the impact players; none of which was too horrific. Now its about the role players.
Every team has role players. It is well know that nearly every player but the very top dozen or so generally are forced to make a sometimes tough choice in where they play in college. They can reach for a highest level program that will take them, possibly struggle for play time, be a role player and may even possibly transfer (or they can succeed impressively). They can pick a level in the middle of those showing interest and likely compete for time right away, but still may end up as another role player or conversely some may develop into an impact player. They can choose the bottom level interested in them and become an immediate impact player.
The club doesn't make that choice for the kid. The kids make the above choice as much because of what the parents want for them as anything i suspect in many cases. So all but the very top players in the country may end up as role players or bench players. Similarly, even the lowest level players can be impact players in college. Its all relative.
We all should hope that all the kids are happy with the choices they make
