Too 4-5 from opl and oysa from spring? Fall? What about those teams that won their division thinking they were going to get to move up a division?
    Based on Last Planet rankings.

That would be one source of information. Summer tournament results would be another. State Cup results would be another. Honesty on the part of the various DoCs would be another :)

Lastplanet alone likely won't be enough for some age groups (ie. GU14) where many premier division teams have lost 4,5 or 6 top players to ECNL. Unless these teams play a bunch of early summer games, it'll be difficult for the rankings to completely catch up with the changes by early August.

An FC Portland girls team and a Westside Metros boys team both won the US Club nationals and I don't believe either were OYSA/USYS State Cup Champs the year they won the US Club Nationals.

Not familiar with the 'NPL' Finals? Is this in invite only tourney?

NPL Finals is for the champions of the various National Premier Leagues around the USA.

So that is how they will continue to siphon the funds…with no league, no one will be paying attention...

Hopefully they put the teams with the really irritating parents in one group, and the mellow parents in another…Aww to be able to watch a game in peace.

They still plan to run a National Premier League season in the spring.

What do you mean? We just had that for the last 18 months. Now we have to rejoin OYSA...

                        Why?

Is this related to the poster who said this event was to 'cover' you bases?

meaning if you can't win the USYS/OYSA state cup and advance to the national championship series, then you have a backup NPL tourney to cover your bases?

                        Again Why?

Why not? Maybe you have a bad day and lose one of the finals on a late PK or something. If you do both you double your chances of advancing to something bigger. Why do teams do FWRL or NWCL in addition to league and state cups? Primarily because they are stepping stones to regional/national events. Why limit yourself?

When did anything associated with US Club soccer become big or ever bigger than the USYS National Championship series?

The FWRL league can punch a ticket to the big dance the national championship series

The NWCL what can that qualify you for?

If you want to go ton a US club regional or NPL event just sign up. It's that easy

Earning your way is too old school.
