That's rich! They weren't even tops in Beaverton. Older team finished second and younger team almost got bounced by a team playing up. Better stick to OYSA and silver bracket tournaments, thorns, otherwise your parents might stop whipping out their checkbooks so eagerly.

Kinda strange how Thorns Academy could do so well at Beaverton Cup and still not get an invite to Surf. Don't the Surf Cup organizers know who the Thorns Academy are? Or maybe they do and they're smarter than the US Soccer folks. Hmmm.

The Surf Cup Tournament Director is keenly aware of the 53 clubs (to date) across the country that are going to be part of the 2017-18 GDA.He mentioned they will even introduce a GDA flight in the Summer of 2017 or 2018 just as he did when the Boys DA began in the late 2000's. They are dialed into this elite level of play and quality of players a DA program is able to bring to their event.

Exciting opportunities for Oregon Girls are now going to be a reality. Versus slapping a league label on a local club and hoping it sticks, it stuck alright.

And Thorns still won't get in. Can't even compete in Beaverton Cup with their "elite", "professional" academy teams.

Thorns DA in the DA bracket of Surf might produce the largest goal differential in tournament history. Ouch.

Oregon teams haven't fared very well against the Surf Girls and yes it did produce a large GD.

Apparently they remain quite insecure as noted by the continued heavy posting by them.

As an Onyx parent it isn't hurtful. The harsh reality is arguably one of Oregon's best girls team over the years is really good, but we don't have enough depth to play consistently with the Surf's, West Coast of the soccer world

Over the years there is no team that is better at posting on the talking soccer.. I have to agree with you on that one

Worst parents ever. Complete douche bags. And they wonder why all of the other parents hate them. They were a good team but they peaked at U15. Now they are pretty average and other teams have equaled them in commitments.

Are the parents putting on as much weight as the players? How are they going to play in college? The one has to be 30 pounds overweight. Hope PSU can run it off her.

You talking about the Gresham Gorilla on the U16 Thorns team?

Maybe in years past, (and that is a maybe), but I don't know of any other current team in Oregon that equals their commitments, just on D1 status alone.
