ECNL is a money grab... they basically let anyone in...ergo CU and FC here locally. It was not for the right reason (i.e. great clubs, great track record) it was simply to piss on the Timbers. Plain and simple.
Won't happen. Even top players want to play HS. Thorns GDA will get the "C" teamers and the truly delusional TA lemmings only. They will be worse than they are now.

Yes, the ECNL abused the word 'Elite' for it's purposes of marketing and brainwashing the parents of the horrible clubs allowed into this hodgepodge league. So, if the best clubs ever to play in the ECNL are leaving for the DA(2017), are you saying the ECNL was not Elite? and the Top Teams that are vacating the ECNL league are not in Fact elite? That's why the Girls DA is not looking elite. Understood.
No teams are leaving the ECNL. Some of the ECNL clubs will be putting their "B" teams in the GDA but that's about all.

Oregon clubs already put their 'B' teams in the ECNL.

Thank God the GDA will be the destination of the Top Clubs best and brightest players in 2017-18, and those leftover players not chosen for the GDA will always have the option of the ECNL, if it is able to survive.

        Win/Win

          Who knows perhaps 'some' will.

But enough with the hopeless fantasies, what is known and verified the best clubs from across the country, specifically those clubs now in the ECNL are sending their best players to the GDA in 2017-18 in the form of three super teams per club. Exciting stuff for US Soccer.

          Dim-Some?

All we know for sure is that a few of the top ECNL clubs will also put teams in the GDA league. Whether those teams include their best players or not remains to be seen. In many cases they won't because the best players won't put up with the draconian restrictions of US Soccer.
