*too* was the word you were looking for. And you seem to struggle with period usage as well. Not your best effort there son.

And who was comparing the past? The comparison was all present (a comparison of current Surf to current MHC). They are both money grabs.

In summary, your post represented poor grammar, poor sentence structure and an incorrect interpretation of past and present tense. I give it a D-. The good news is that it is on par with CU parents and coaches, so you are clearly hanging around with the right people.

It is the best & biggest loser in terms of a team count loss over the past 4 years. No other youth club tournament in the nation has lost 200 team+.

This thing is in free fall and things arent getting any better soon.

Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams don't even consider Mt. Hood Challenge any more. It's become a Founders Cup level tourney.

I guess Westside Timbers Copa teams are Tier 3

Calling it "founders cup" level is a bit asinine; various local premier teams (and a few decent travel teams) played.

OTOH, it's not Surf, or even Crossfire Challenge, by a longshot.

Pretty much everyone in Oregon is Tier 3 at best, other than the occasional Tier 2 team. And at least at the DA age groups (04-05), Copa is Westside's second team nowadays. So those teams are most definitely Tier 3.

                A good guideline for you:

Tier 1: Surf (Super Black), Dallas, Las Vegas
                Tier 2: Crossfire Challenge.
Tier 3: Beaverton Cup, Clash at the Border, Mount Hood Cup, OYSA State Cup. (Gold/premier divisions only for the summer tourneys).
Tier 4: Summer Slam, Chinook Cup, OYSA President's Cup. (Other state editions of the P-Cup are Tier 2, but not here).
                Tier 5: Founders Cup.

Of course, anything below your DS/DD's squad is rec. We know.

                  Should say 04-06.

Ha ha. Mt. Hood Challenge. Yeah right. We went and played real teams at Surf. While we were posting pictures of our girls on the beach in our Facebook accounts, you were posting pictures of people paying for parking.

Daughter's team played in Mt Hood Challenge 3 summers ago (last time her team played).
They were placed in a bracket that they SHOULD NOT have been placed. No business being in the bracket and got their backsides handed to them in all three games. They are placed in a Sunday morning consolation game, 8 AM at LaSalle HS in Milwaukie. Against a team from Eugene. Daughter says to me, this is for a 4th place medal.......winner of the loser's bracket. She said, why are we even playing for a 4th place medal, in the loser's bracket...this makes NO sense. Even she got it, back then. No, you DO NOT need a medal/trophy from every single tournament. She thought it was a complete joke.
