I'm not surprised. Crossfire United Ecnl

Crossfire United Ecnl 02 vs Eastside Oregon OYSA (5th in Oregon last year)

    1-1

Crossfire United ECNL 02 vs Crossfire Wa B team

    1-3

This is what happens when you believe all the bs and lies about how elite you are by association. You waste your time and money while ruining your ability to actually look like you had a clue.

Not only are they paying 10k like all the other fools to get beat 9-0 and have -75 goal differential in their league, they wasted their time developing and can't even beat teams that they talk crap about.

Who's playing B teams now? Ecnl Oregon.

Who's losing to B teams now? Ecnl Oregon

Who can't beat a OYSA team that was middle pack last year.

But but but but There is a good Ecnl team from California...and we are somewhat associated to them even if we don't get to play them......

But but but but Ecnl tournaments are the best and everything else is b and c teams....nevermind we don't even get to play in a top bracket at those or anyother tournament and we are losing to b and c teams....

But but but Thorns academy played in a bronze level tournament....nevermind cu Ecnl is a bronze level team......

We are elite, it says so on our Ecnl patch.......nevermind that it really doesn't apply to us..

The quote I've heard on here, traveling 5 hours to play a team when you can't beat teams 20 minutes away really stands out.

Fc Portland would be no different. They are just smarter to continue to hide so they can still claim elite status ahhahahahahah

And yet they are still getting offers to some big time schools and players being invited to USWNT camps

Which has nothing to do with the 'club name or league name' in this case, it's because 'x' player has ability and if they are attracting big time schools and wnt scouts that player(s) must be damn good. Congrats to them. Has nothing to do with the club or league they play in Oregon. Rationalizing the travel expenses for FC PDX & CU as the ticket to those kind of opportunities sheds even more light on the 'brainwashing' efforts of the monetized minions who have families to feed and want to keep milking delusion parents. So be it.

I slightly disagree with you. These players are being seen by these programs at ECNL events. Notre Dame and USWNT are not coming to watch OYSA games or FWRL games

Huh? Coaches look for players around every corner. Yes the USDA will be their new preferred league to scout/recruit going forward for girls. If you are a player of nat team caliber or big time d1 schools nobody gives two hoots about the name of the club or league.

There is nothing to disagree with here it's the way things are.

Sending videos and emails to a coach may be a better option for some. It's not like a 'league' or 'club' in Oregon is going to matter when it comes to a national team or big time college selection. Sorry, talent trumps all clubs and leagues.

That's where we disagree - coaches don't have the budget to search every corner. I agree that they don't care what league you play in, but ECNL offers a big pond to fish in against the best players in the country

Look at the National pool rosters for the girls, many of the players are from clubs that I have never heard of.

I too, disagree, with you. Speaking of reality, here it is. Coaches/recruiters go to ECNL showcase events. They know ECNL is providing the best competition and going to ECNL events provide the best opportunity to see the most players.

I believe in the adage that if you're THAT good, coaches will find you. But you better be THAT good for them to seek you out if you're not playing or attending showcase events. A player make look like a superstar on video, but the question on recruiters mind will be; "against what level of competition?" Also, "how would she compete with ECNL showcase competition?" Here's another facet, if you're attending ECNL events, you will communicate with schools including sending highlight videos. Those two aren mutually exclusive.

With limited budgets, it make sense to attend a showcase event and be able to see the 10-20 girls (or whatever that number is)that are on your recruiting radar. Recruiters also have a strong probability of discovering more at the event.

Like it or not, that is the reality
