Local club OYSA & travel tournaments also work well for many kids. Can't we just be happy for all the girls and support their choices and whichever path they choose?
Weak league? Or you can play Ecnl and be in a league that you are getting killed 9-1 or wasting your time playing a garbage team from Idaho.

Oh your 4/5k for Ecnl is a straight up lie. Try 10k

You fc and cu idiots really like to lie to cover up how bad your program is.

US Soccer's DA is the established & bona fide top tier for youth soccer by design & execution. You can hold an opinion that is not consistent with this reality, but that of course is your prerogative. Opinions vary. Some folks believe that the NASL is stronger than than the MLS, which is fine, but US Soccer has deemed MLS the top flight.

US Soccer's DA intersection with the Portland market is fully subsidized for boys & nearly fully subsidized for girls. As no local club was deemed worthy of being a DA club for Boys or Girls in the last decade and the MLS Timbers are mandated to have one (DA), the NWSL Thorns along with all NWSL franchises were granted DA's given their placement as the only professional league operating in the US.

Our local neighborhood clubs are free to choose whatever league they want to play (just not the national DA level).

The local regional club centric 'little DA's' are merely local clubs grabbing the name 'little DA' but are ostensibly their normal organic club teams that are forced to follow the curriculum and goals of US Soccer vs. the normal club fare. For our market this effort is quite disingenuous as clubs have elected to send the 'B' teams into this local league platform. Truly doubtful this model will have staying power in our state given it's lack of cache or relevancy for the type of players it attracts. Throw into the equation the Timbers national level DA that squeezes out the top talent from those clubs each year it's somewhat ridiculous other than the 'philosophy' angle.

US Soccer Development Academy has the ability and resources to position itself as the top flight of competition & development with it's backing from US Soccer.

What are you even talking about? Girls DA hasn't even started. Your lies are a reason why no one trusts you. You keep blowing smoke but when it all shakes out, people realized they've been lied to.

The schedule for the 2017-18 USDA for Boys & Girls Regular season was released on June 1st, 2017 http://www.ussoccerda.com/20170601-d...hedule-release

Not sure if you are aware clubs have picked their DA level players and are doing their pre-season training and friendly scrimmages until Sept 1 when the official matches begin.

Everything being presented is produced by US Soccer, if you consider that a 'lie' take the issue up with them.

Really not much anyone can say in retort other than it's good to be the king (US Soccer). Well played.

Bingo! All 3 paths have pros & cons. Pick the best one and enjoy. If you're dd isn't happy, find a better option next year. Each individual girl can get to the same end point whichever path she chooses. No need to panic.

Tanya Harding is on the staff?

The beauty is they are tiered:

Tier 1 : US Soccer Development Academy

Tier 2: Non DA club choices.

Each have pros & cons and they each know their place in the landscape.

Incredible development. Beaverton cup is fourth tier.

Have you looked at the Thornz Asylum GDA schedule? Other than Crossfire Premier's "B" team, they'll be playing nothing but rec-level teams from NorCal from clubs that have NEVER won ANYTHING, nor produced anything close to resembling a decent soccer player. Pretty sweet - rec soccer with the travel budget of Premier.

The market decides the tiers, not US Soccer. And the market has spoken - ECNL is a clear #1, followed very distantly by OYSA Premier and then Thornz Asylum GDA.

Going to wait until you show evidence of a fc or cu team has won in the past years...

                              That's right.

Ecnl is a scam for Oregon.

You've got fc and cu teams playing in a Ecnl league and they not only lose 90% of their games but they have teams that aren't even scoring goals during their season.

Or the teams they beat wouldn't even be top in Oregon.

What a joke. Girls DA is smoke and mirrors but Ecnl is a proven joke for oregon teams.

40 girls placed into college by ECNL teams last year. Two over three years by thorns. Not a fair fight.
