I have it on good account that this is the last year for Sporting as a stand-alone program. They will be joining Oakwood in 18-19.

If that's true, that makes sense, unlike all the other Sporting rumors flying around. Both Oakwood and Sporting are non-profits and so have similar cultures. Also, smart of Oakwood to take them on because a lot of the Sporting kids are really good at the young ages. Gives Oakwood a head start over FSA and CFCU.
Can anyone else confirm this?

Ow and fsa going in opposite directions. Fsa getting into dap, ow getting into state teams. Now they are on par with Cfc and fsa and no longer can say how great they are. No more pitching on how they don't have a lot of teams, blah blah blah. So your shiet does stink just like everyone else

I don't have an issue with this rumor. ZE at Sporting LOVES Oakwood. He entered teams into their indoor league this winter and he used the fields in Portland for a few games and training. When a player leaves Sporting for a higher level of play they always recommend Oakwood.
