    Fantasy!

One of the NorCal teams in DA is so bad they can barely pick the ball out of the net before the shots start raining down on them again. 38 goals conceded in 5 games and 0 scored.

Funny... sounds like one of the Crossfire Oregon teams.

Faulty logic. CU has one admittedly terrible team. As surf cup demonstrated, every single team in Burlingame's GDA program is abysmal.

Still not a knock on Thorns GDA to lose to them. Any other Oregon team would also lose. If not for GDA, Oregon wouldn't get a chance to play the Blues A or B team. GDA is providing additional opportunities and a different training philosophy to Oregon girls. Nice to have both options of GDA & ECNL now.
If this were true then why did the Blues 00/99 ECNL team play in the lowest division at surf: Super White?
They didn't make the semi's and lost to Forza in a showcase match-up.
Looks like the Blues Doge 00/99 DA team is their A team.

Can anyone get a shot to play those teams? That sounds like fun.

Sorry, DA only play other DA so as to only play other super elite teams. GDA is in its first year so it will take several years to weed out the not elite enough teams. In the meantime, there will be some crushing going on. Thorns should do well. Even after GDA gets stronger.

I think GDA is open to any club to apply. Rumor has it Eastside and Clackamas are joining which will be exciting for Thorns so they won't have to travel as much.

The best teams will be in ECNL. GDA is just a 2nd tier side league.

At least for this year and maybe a few more but Gda will likely become the destination for the majority of top players just like on the boys side. However, there are way too many college spots for girls for the Gda to fill so Ecnl will remain a good option for many.

This sounds like fun. GDA will be quite the spectacle.

This would be fantastic. Less travel for Thorns. Hopefully PCU and Pacific are next into the GDA.

Burlingame conceded 38 goals in 5 games at surf. That's not bad considering they probably only had 3% of the possession.

I bet the keeper had 70-80 saves. Unbelievable. Yet hard to not want to watch.
