Scorpions ECNL (in Taunton) is your best bet if you have a strong player.

NEFC used to be the go to club for DA but they are the most confusing, it is like they took two giant steps backwards getting into bed with GPS and SURF. Now Liverpool is gaining momentum and they will likely get to ECNL before anyone from RI because they aren't getting into the drama, they keep their heads down, and focus on the Liverpool Way...which might be the right way. Who would of thunk it? And then.. there was Bruno, what happened there. Sad strange.

Why keep saying NEFC planned something with Surf??? NEFC Southeast coaches left the club and moved to Surf. The region still exists, hopefully will be able to rebuild since many players will follow their coaches to Surf. Everyone is always trying to bash each other. Every family needs to seek out what is best for their family. Every single club in all of New England unfortunately has some BS that you have to deal. All of youth soccer is loaded with inequities.

Well yes there is one out of TX on the boys side,( Liverpool Football Club International Academy Texas (LFCIA Texas) is one of the founding member clubs of the Boys ECNL) soooo okay then, maybe the RI Liverpool teams could go in that direction after all. The landscape of soccer in the Northeast is changing. Parents want what they pay for, more training, more competition, more opportunities and more development not more wins.
It is never coming to RI, at least not in the time frame that any kid from U6 or above will get to see. Maybe some new club will emerge before your unborn kid hits U18. But other than that if you have a truly elite player and want ECNL you will need to go to MA or CT. Otherwise find a club locally with a coach you like and forget ECNL.

Any other clubs beyond those two are even less relevant and aren't even worth mentioning by name.

And to muddy the waters further, you already have a couple ex-DA clubs not any further away who are waiting in line.

You want ECNL, drive to Taunton. Scorps is getting more and more competitive with the new owners.
