    GDA v ECNL - 2018

So to say they are not direct competitors is naïve.
By nature of course they are competitors. But by mission they are not.

love to have a player of that quality on their team, it would help them come GDA Playoffs, but until they realize her talent is unchallenged, she will continue to happily swim along...
Was it? could turn out to be anything. May so called NT stars do not translate in College. Why would NYCFC want her if she does not want to be there? talent unchallenged? Funny. If she came to NYCFC I dont think she would be one of the 10 best players at the Club.

That may be true for u14 and under but for anything older I would say any United team would prevail easily. CFC teams didn’t lose any talent to Academy whereas DA took all comers at those ages

Except for those places where it is not like the Northeast.

Not in CT. OW will never get enough CFC top CFC players to make a difference.

The irony is that most of the parents defending OW's honor over the academy will be long gone before the academy is relevant. Club soccer will be in your rear view.

If your kid is in HS in CT right now and wants collge soccer, ECNL is where it's at.

Oakwood parents have been saying they will be top dog for years. Nobody should up at tryouts this year yet 96 players should up at u14 ECNL tryouts. Why do you think something is suddenly going to change? Oakwood will keep the players they have, they will not attract any outside talent this year or next.

Quality over quantity. Based on your observation, CFC should be head and shoulders above Oakwood. They are not.

What age group does OW have better players in???? Seriously over any ECNL squad. I'll help you... not one!

Great question....what current team at Oakwood is better than any CFC United team?
BTW for you NPL Graduates that would be 14 and up.

ECNL will have a tough time marketing against this.....

Battle for players in CT: FSA/CFC versus OW/NYSC/NYCFC.
I think you're confusing causation with correlation

the NY programs may suck off the top players from CFC
