Clubs Merging and Folding

So far we have:

Shoreline FC- Greenwich - Merged with Chelsea Piers. They have a crap ton of teams now and are probably biggest club in Fairfield County.

Shoreline FC - North Branford - Became Shoreline United. Struggling big time, down to a couple of boys teams.

Academica - Merged with Vale. Good for CT Soccer. Two mediocre clubs now one mediocre club.

SCP - only have a couple of boys teams left and a couple of girls teams. Lost Nate to Vale, then Carlos replaced him and has already left for Ginga.

Ajax, Doca and Soccer Viza listing badly.

Actually Doca is pretty solid on the boys side. Girls not so much. Rush may take all their better girls over time be interesting to see how that plays out - more and more girls are frustrated with the shenanigans at Southeast, RI Rush fizzled out for the most part(the NE CT version) and the better clubs are a hike from that part of the state...

I don’t think RI Rush exists any longer. The Guilford Rush seems to have taken over most of the Shoreline. Them and Southeast. Doca is more of a training program for town players. The other Rush branches have basically become girls clubs. Nothing on the boys side. Ferdinand Omar will be done inside of two years. No one has mentioned Yankee. They are done.
