Looks like they did pretty well against those teams by winning their bracket

Looks like they lost 3-1 to the San Diego Surf (6th place in their conference).

Yes, California Soccer is another animal, however one can not make a judgement based on only one game and comment without having a good idea of all it happened over the weekend. We all know that rankings mean little on youth soccer. Teams change a lot from one season to another. It is too early to judge.

Florida in general does have a long way to go for sure.
One of the main problems is a lack of competition.
No team can get better by playing the same 6-8 teams over and over again.
In order to experience the next level you need to leave the state and play different competition.

The Surf Cup last weekend was full of teams with size, speed, skills and most of all these teams had depth.

          Overall a great experience.

Which is why Clay County will win State Cup this year. We will be under estimated like Creeks was last year, but we will finish unlike Creeks.

Probably not from Clay... just stirring up crap!

Fun to see all of the chest pumping on this site. Where will Clay be playing this year so that we can see how they perform...playing in any decent tournaments or against any real competition?

It wasn't a Clay person. It was someone trying to get everyone all worked up. No chest pumping going on. Clay will keep training, compete on the field, win some, lose some and train some more.

                  Good luck to all.

It is still too early to define who is going to dominate. As you said, all has to be proven on the field. Teams change a lot from one season to another.

Same top three as last year PV, FKK and Davie with a possible surprise or two like last year. Other than that, no team will come out of the blue to dominate consistently over these three.

It's hard to compare states when florida is reprentd by a team that didn't even make the semi finals in its own state. Sunrise is not a good measuring stick for florida.

Represented where? Are you talking about PV? I believe they had a very respectable showing at both Southern Regionals (lost in the finals) and at Nationals (missed moving on to semi's via tie breaker). They have made a name for themselves across the country and clearly represent Florida very well. The respect for Florida programs has improved because of them...and Sunrise...and FKK/Maitland...and Davie.
