Florida in general does have a long way to go for sure.
One of the main problems is a lack of competition.
No team can get better by playing the same 6-8 teams over and over again.
In order to experience the next level you need to leave the state and play different competition.
The Surf Cup last weekend was full of teams with size, speed, skills and most of all these teams had depth.
Overall a great experience.

It is still too early to define who is going to dominate. As you said, all has to be proven on the field. Teams change a lot from one season to another.

I believe they had a very respectable showing at both Southern Regionals (lost in the finals) and at Nationals (missed moving on to semi's via tie breaker). They have made a name for themselves across the country and clearly represent Florida very well. The respect for Florida programs has improved because of them...and Sunrise...and FKK/Maitland...and Davie.
