    True but it’s cheaper.
US Soccer has made a huge mess of boys soccer. Hopefully they don’t do the same one the girls side. That would be really sad.

Also, our local clubs will do everything they can in a desperate attempt to become relevant vs the DA, but without a body of work or coaching staff that meets US Soccer DA requirements they will be forced to rely on the ‘selling ’ of a club mantra and the lower tiered levels of club competition.

Yes, the rhetoric will lose traction, especially without substance.

Outcomes are very predictable, it’s inevitable and history reflects what has happened on the boys side of club soccer with the emergence of the decade old Boys DA.
The irony in your statement is the Thorns don’t even meet the min requirements as outlined by US Soccer. Their body of work since existence is the laughing stock of Oregon

You mean this body of work?

They are trying the same methods that have failed on them men's program. Why? The men's program has seen very poor results.

Thorns were NWSL champs the last two years in a row.

US Soccer takes some of the best athletes in the world and turns them into uncreative, dull, boring soccer players who lose. What's not to like?

We're all speaking in US generalities not Thorns. The MNT has gone nowhere, even receded. DA players look like robots and college coaches looking for international players more than ever. GDA isn't going to help the WNT.

And the old club scene was better?

US Soccer wants emotionless robots. That is why they ban kids from high school. Take the emotion out of it. Soccer should be a job if you want to be the best. Having friends and peers support you is distracting.

Look at how well that's working on the boys side - mission accomplished!

Ohh god! Thorns. Been there done that. Junk. You have to be pretty dumb to not realize they need to make it dirt cheap to attract players. All at the expense of OYSA soccer families who fund Peregrine. What idiot would pick a program with such a weak foundation? Oh well. Carry on.

What idiot would pick a program that is 3x as much as the Thorns, but not much better and arguably worse?

You have to be pretty dumb to not realize that you are paying a premium price for a mediocre product. Oregon ECNL is a mediocre product at best. Some of the FC Portland players realized this and joined the Thorns.

Why are CU kids so much happier at CU?

Omg hilarious. You realize some have already jumped ship for Thorns..one as recently as two weeks ago.
