We love our DD's current club - She's been playing there since she was 5 years old. GPS is where we would move her to if anything happened to her current club (assuming there is space). Like MJ or not, there is a reason most of his players left BCS to follow him when he was fired. GPS is the most stable '03 team in the state.

Today coaches come and go. They switch clubs and teams. No one has the same coach for more than 2 years within a club. It is considered bad for development. This forces coaches to be devoid of opinion to protect their jobs. On the other side, parents moving to a new program are called "club-hoppers". When did loyalty to the individual and the team become secondary in importance to the income of the club?
It is always easy to complain but difficult to give a solution. I will give you one. Loyalty to the individual and team. MJ doesn't play by the "rules" of Oregon soccer politics. Maybe he is opinionated, but there must be a reason that through thick and thin, different clubs, etc MJ has had so few (if any) defections.
