Many did, and made ECNL rosters, but chose GPS.

ENCL has not been a good experience here in Oregon.

Are you calling the former poster's comment untrue?

You seem very connected to the ECNL programs. Can you please post the original lists so that we can determine for ourselves? Thank you.

Thusc is not an ECNL team.

Or CU, or FC. None of our girls want to leave.

We love our DD's current club - She's been playing there since she was 5 years old. GPS is where we would move her to if anything happened to her current club (assuming there is space). Like MJ or not, there is a reason most of his players left BCS to follow him when he was fired. GPS is the most stable '03 team in the state.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic. If so, what club and coach would you have your daughter play for and why?

The reason is that we knew we had the best team in the state with him coaching and we wanted to win.

Next set of OYSA games coming up. Taking out top 3 (2 Ecnls & Gps) there is great parity at this age group. 2nd place for fall league could be any team and likely one of the teams that doesn't have to play GPS twice.

Get ready for a non-answer. You will hear about a club or two that put some girls in college but not a coach other than Clive, rest his soul. Why? There is a reason his name is the most prominent item on their badge.

Today coaches come and go. They switch clubs and teams. No one has the same coach for more than 2 years within a club. It is considered bad for development. This forces coaches to be devoid of opinion to protect their jobs. On the other side, parents moving to a new program are called "club-hoppers". When did loyalty to the individual and the team become secondary in importance to the income of the club?

It is always easy to complain but difficult to give a solution. I will give you one. Loyalty to the individual and team. MJ doesn't play by the "rules" of Oregon soccer politics. Maybe he is opinionated, but there must be a reason that through thick and thin, different clubs, etc MJ has had so few (if any) defections.
