Ask this question and the truth will set you free.
(Little local DA leagues are nothing more than labeled local clubs scrimmages with videos)

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYes, it's a label used by the real DA and it eases the pain of never being relevant as a local club. They can sell (DA) label to parents, much easier than their club name, staff & history of achievement. Much like clubs calling themselves (Timbers) it means nothing. It's worthless.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostUS Soccer has a different version of your recap, according to US Soccer in Chicago, many clubs from Oregon did in fact apply for DA senior national Academy status (including THUSC/CU & FC P). All of the Oregon clubs were considered of course, none selected or accepted to date. To your point any club is welcome to join any league offered anywhere, if the parents can afford it. The only barrier to entry to join a league is ability to pay, their is no selection process like the Senior DA administered by US Soccer.
US Soccer was/is in dire needs for teams in the NW.
But tell the folks in Timberland whatever you need to keep them on board.
