Massachusetts is taking a very cautious approach. Many here think too cautious.
The down side of too cautious is awkward rules for the fall season.
The upside is that it actually helps keep the lid on covid and allows schools to open up for in person learning (which impacts way more people)
Some think the rules changes will ruin all MA players and keep them from their D1 dreams. These people are idiots and should not be listened to.

The whole fall season is going to be played at 50-60% speed, intensity.
Will also create bad habits to all players.
For the average player it won’t make much of a difference but for the top 10% of players in MA they absolutely will be affected.

Nobody thinks that kids should be playing sports because they will be D1 athletes.
We should do EVERYTHING we possible can to make things as normal as possible during this late stage covid panic.

Warned you all about this guy didn't I?
By his reasoning no one can ever be injured and make it back to top form. And certainly no way they could ever hope to play in college. Nope. Any drop off in intensity is immediately disqualifying. You need to train 4 days a week, 4 seasons a year to even have a chance of making it.

"For every 1,000 people infected with the coronavirus who are under the age of 50, almost none will die. For people in their fifties and early sixties, about five will die..."
But you go ahead and keep cowering in terror.

Statistics continue to show that there is exceedingly low risk for people without existing health risk factors. Many/most people want to get on with their lives. Those that do not want to get on with their lives may not be ‘cowering in fear’, but they are trying to force their opinions on others by telling them they are stupid and irresponsible for living life. Once name calling starts, it gets out of hand. All we are asking is that you do not try to shame us for living our lives - live yours as you see fit and leave us alone.
