Not a chance. Radical parts of the teachers union will do all they can to stop school. If they can’t, the first positive case and no in class anything. Forgot about sports.

A lot of teachers are in their 50s and 60s. Back to school means that they will be exposed to hundreds of kids each day. Would you want to take that risk?

From a GAL perspective hope HS is cancelled so we can have a full GAL season at all ages. HS soccer is terrible anyway and should not be played like in the DA days.

you speak of the public schools - many private and charter schools have set a start date of Sep 9 and 5 full in-person days of learning. I have had nothing but transparency and cooperation in planning with our elementary and high schools. I have full confidence, but public schools - your're right that's a different story

You can't leave the state. 14 days of quarantine each time. GAL is a disaster for fall. So much travel to VA or New Hampshire/MA.

They can stay home if they choose. Just don't take tax payers money.

                          No interstate games
                          No showcase
                          Weak competition
GAL won't be around a year from now

That's because private school has to justify the cost of tuition so they don't loose students. Profit always comes first!

a truly moronic arguement-a regurgitation of talking points with no thought

I doubt you would ask "public" colleges and universities to justify their costs or profitablity, let alone private ones

and what private school thinks-okay we need to create a great ciriculum and student experience so that when a pandemic comes, we can say tuition is "justified"

The private schools as usual have done a better job of dealing with educating through the Spring and have worked hard to be ready for as full and as normal an Fall as possible
