For the record, my D plays DA. Her former club is an ECNL club, and she left that club to join the DA, even though the DA isn't as strong as a team (Yes she was offered a spot on the ECNL team as well). Monetarily, our choice was obvious as the DA training/travel/etc... is nearly 1/2 the cost of what the the ECNL team would be.
For most the difference nets out to be around $1500. To many middle and upper income soccer families that isn't enough of a reason to chose one over the other. Things like league, desire to play HS sports, training/coaching will be the drivers (the later being the most important). Travel isn't that different except in how it is arranged (two games/weekend vs one).

At least you can have an argument/discussion here instead of being censored on BOTN :)

Must be nice to have 1500 bucks and extra travel be chump change. That is us youth soccer in a nutshell.

Pay to play is only for a small segment of the population. Some families can't even afford 1,500 for annual fees so imagine having to pay that amount in just travel expenses.

Because you're a jackass. Go past on BOTN if you want to argue.

It is not for the time or money challenged. Some competitive affordable options would be very welcome around here.

Can you advise how many times a week the current local ECNL clubs EM and Susa train as a team during the girls high school Soccer season.

                  Thank you.

Once a week, it's a joke. ECNL teams basically have a two and a half month season for the whole year. Keep pounding your chest about HS soccer and this is what you get.

Enjoy the B league GDA dad while everyone else enjoys HS ball.

Gda in the northeast is a colossal waste of time. You think playing games against seacoast, nysc, lisc, alby, fury, empire, etc is any better than high school ball? Btw, Ecnl goes November to June vs gda’s August to June. Only a few months different and the girls are getting to enjoy playing for their HS.

Some GDA clubs (ahem, OW) don't practice the requisite 4x/ week either
