What is one logical reason that SB and MP would make the U18 senior team make its one showcase be Phoenix, AZ when it could be Orlando?

The 2000/2001 U18 ECNL team only is required to do one ECNL showcase and Florida Elite is making them participate in the one they least want to do in Phoenix. The girls on the team still trying to be recruited have a higher likelihood of being seen and recruited via a southeast ECNL showcase.

Either thats a lie or someone dropped the ball because NOBODY else gets a hosing like that. Must of pissed someone off.

Ok then for arguments sake, lets say ecnl is just better than da and fesa's teams could (cough) beat every da team. It would still be better to be in da just to avoid all the "required" bs the fesa seemingly has do deal with for showcases. I mean seriously, boys missing on PA last year for no good reason and now the girls this (if the above posts are accurate). Fact is - da players gets as much and probably more exposure now.

When the players and parents can no longer have trust that the coaches and leaders will do the right thing on behalf of the players then the players will leave to go to DA or somewhere.

When the U18s qualify for ECNL Nationals in Seattle don't expect them to travel like the prior U18s didn't travel (only the SJCD players traveled because they had to out of loyalty). Half of the current sixteen player U18 roster is made up of seniors and there are juniors who will not be returning in the fall of 2019. MP and SB need to think smarter about their decisions and appease the players and families or don't be surprised when they leave or don't attend Seattle. Money doesn't grow on trees and are the directors paying up front for the players who do not pay into their team account for hotels, meals and transportation? Every time players do not make their team payments (racking up 4,000 in unpaid fees) then the other parents had to shell out more to cover the team bills.

Making the U18 ECNL team pay to attend Phoenix when the team could do its one required ECNL showcase in Sanford is abuse. DA is looking like where we'll be next year.

The U16 and U17 have to do three ECNL showcases but the U18 team is only required to do one. The U18 should be allowed to choose the one in Sanford which gets the most college coaches and is an hour away.

Is this a selfish reason for MP to keep his 02 and 01 teams both traveling with him? Couldn't the 02 and 03s gone to Phoenix and then send the 03,02,and 01s to the Sanford showcase together? Did MP ask his players and the families who will have to foot the bill which showcase is best for the players college recruitment?

You do have a good point. DA may be gaining some new players in the future and getting credit for their development and getting them to the college level.

I am making the team travel to the showcase in Phoenix because this is the one all over the nation that kicks back the most cash to club ED as incentive for us to go. So we are going to Phoeneix so I can line my greedy pockets more from parents spending. Suck it up buttercups.

Dollars to donuts most of the girls will decline because....well, no reason to go....and spots will be filled with Arizona players again.

They won't decline until the end of the year when it is Nationals in Seattle and then the club will have to scramble to make a new team using players from Washington instead of using its B players.
