This wasn't FYSA Bucks, different line item in their budget all together. It was a big deal 2017 AGM. He was stumbling all over himself trying to explain it. It was in a workshop.

FYSA is hamstrung by its members voting in favor of dumb rules or amending rules that tie their hands. FYSA is obligated to abide by and defend the bylaws and rules that the members pass at the AGM. FYSA would be able to do a lot more to compete with US Club if affiliate clubs would stop being so darned protective of their little fiefdoms and acknowledge that better product is what keeps people from going to other clubs. Not geographic monopolies. Take care of your own club and stop worrying about what the guys down the street are doing.
Want to compete against US Club? Relax the state's association rules rather than making them harsher. Haggling over tryout dates and whether a field is 5, 10, 15, or 20 miles away from another just tears each other apart and the challenges waste precious resources at the club and association level.
And for the love of Messi, will affiliates stop proposing rules that would govern what freaking color players are allowed to wear or what logo is on the darned jersey? If you can't tell what team you're playing by checking your schedule and the other team's roster, you're too stupid to coach. These proposals waste time year in and year out and don't do a thing to get more kids playing soccer.

Disgruntled Coach who stole a team and now has to buy new uniforms to play under a non-local clubs banner because there aren't any US Club leagues worth a flip unless you are an elite team and like to do more travelling than Styx cover band.

Sure, we will have lost several decades and generations of kids but hey . . . it's all about the benjamins . . . . errrr . . . free market . . . errrr . . . children!!!
