agree
◉ town ones need to fold yesterday.
◉ a lot of the mom and pops could easily merge and create something stronger and stop cannibalizing each other.

Let the free market take care of it. Clubs that don't offer a good product at a good price value eventually fold. Merging two crap clubs just makes a bigger crap club. Many times there isn't enough geography overlap either, along with very real issues like owner personality clashes. When a merger makes sense/can happen it will. With the state's declining population and declining interest in soccer on the the strongest will survive. It's all to the good.

There is no body that will FIX the broken environment. Time will fix it with the invisible hand.

Mergers? How about the large ones figure out how to manage themselves...FSA in particular- emailing wrong kids as to which team they are on, then saying entire group is "elite", but not everyone has paid....but you better or you wont play.. The entire problem is very unprofessional. Sal D needs to get his **** together. Just announce what team each kid is on....If they haven't paid, don't put them on the roster. STOP AVOIDING CONFLICT. How can you ask for $ and not tell parents what team their kid is on? Time to seriously consider leaving this club.
