They loved it. Made them look so street.

Those corn rows became a trend. Spent 100 bucks for them in downtown Westport

Pretty obvious that you are not affiliated with the SJ girls soccer program. If you were you would know about what the poster was talking about.

What a sham. St Joes has all of those fields because of football.

Gbury coach must be very good. Until the new coach (not sure how long he has been there), Gbury was always a high seed for state tournament, but never won it all. Made it to final game a few times, but never won. Since he joined, they have 3 or 4 championships plus a couple more finals. Gbury has always had talent, but he has proven what a difference a coach can make (especially one that can't recruit).

No doubt he is a good coach but the feeder program is one of the best in the state
Remember one thing if you have no players no coach is good

Having a good town program/ a town that is enthusiastic about soccer helps too. Outside of the bigger schools most rosters will only have so many good club players. If you have a backup of solid town players and some great athletes you're in decent shape.

Lower turf is because of jimmy O - it took him years of fighting for donations to see it thru
The upper has a big sign on it as to who donated it - not football ,girls soccer

any reasonable soccer coach in the state could achieve results with that pipeline.

Glastonbury is a huge soccer town and one of the larger high schools in CT. Every year they gets kids from Oakwood, CFC, Sporting, FSA etc.

Perhaps a small dip last year with the Academy but many of these kids have already seen the light and are deciding not to give up HS soccer in favor of the GDA.

They have a unique problem at GHS with club players on the JV team

The lower field goes back longer than that. The upper field is for JV and Freshmen football practice but with Title IX it is a “girls sport field”. St Joe’s is football. Only the idiots on here think the school really cares about girls soccer.

                              Lot you know
Football plays on the upper field girls soccer doesnt they play on the lower field
The lower field was put in around 2009-10 jimmyO was still there so how far back do you mean
Football is certainly a fixture but so is lacrosse and girls soccer
10 years ago boys hoops would have been at the top of that list and lax wouldn't have been on the list but the other 2 would still be there

Don't fciac schools get kids from the myriad of premier teams in and around Fairfield county? This is not unique to Glastonbury
