If you are referring to the earlier comments in this thread they were specifically about Shrewsbury HS where club players are run out of the town youth program pretty regularly and don't come back to the high school team. This doesn't seem to happen at other local high schools where most of the club players are playing HS soccer this fall unless they are playing DA.

The comments are hard to follow. How about: do they lose player's to DA? Do they lose player's to ECNL who will not play high school? How many do they lose to private schools? On the boy's side, they use to lose a good chunk to St. John's. Do the girl's lose them to Worcester Academy and other private schools?

It's really not hard to follow. The majority of club players do not play for Shrewsbury HS.
Some end up going private, others don't play HS at all.

What do you consider a majority? Shrewsbury has 3 teams on their website, so they have between 50-60 kids in the program. With how youth soccer is now, I would suspect, especially in a town like Shrewsbury, that at least 20-30 of those kids play club. So you are telling me that more than 20-30 kids within the school play club but not high school?

Now on the same notion, just because your kid plays club (i.e. Mommy and Daddy can foot the bill for you to play on the 8th level club team) does not translate into a good soccer player.

So the Stars ECNL players and NEFC NPL kids on SHS team don’t count? Ok. I’ll make note about those players only counting if they play for Nashoba, Wachusett, Algonquin, Marlborough and Westborough.

SHS is 0-4 with 16 goals against and 1 goal for. If there are good club players on that team they must be injured or riding the bench.

Finally someone who can draw the right relationship between any club players. With a 15 goal differential how can you say SHS has top club players. If you concede about 4 goals per game against all levels of opponents you are not stacked with talent.
