Eastside calls their girls' teams Thorns and Thorns GDA paid for Westside to help them process registrations and uniform orders. Westside is not the Thorns. They have their own girls teams.

You can’t make a snowman out of bricks. The talent pool in Oregon is too shallow. It’s not fair to blame the program. Yes losing is difficult. People rubbing it in don’t understand.

Next year Crossfire is all in for ECNL so things might improve for Thorns? As the top clubs leave for ECNL the throns might pick up a few wins next year.

Another way to look at it is that Thorns, who claim to have the best of the best from Oregon/Vancouver, got thumped by a club that splits their top talent between ECNL and GDA. Double ouch.
