Kids who left Shoreline went on to get D1 scholarships while kids who stayed could say they won the SuperY and hope to get into D3. Not a D1 player came out of that program. I was one of the suckers.
Girls were even more a joke. Pay to play at GHS. Once the kick and run athletic game no longer won at the HS level and coaching mattered GHS fell off the table.
Still, the best non-academy club in Fairfield & Westchester Counties, who is better?

Have to agree with most of this post. Shoreline is in shambles because the premise of the club was faulty. They pushed the trip to England as a big part of their program. Really, it was an all expense paid trip for DS to go on holiday back home. Couple of follow up trips for a handful of players. The reality is that they were always going to be second rate. The branch in North Branford completely collapsed on him and is now a new club. This is a new branding and may hide the fact that this is a money grab. Time will tell.

This will hurt the local travel landscape as CFC and AL just took over training there. This new partnership will make them leaders in CT as they have good teams across board, sorry CFC your idea of having a Southern Branch just went down the tubes

I really don’t think CFC is too worried about a DS and Chelsea Piers partnership. LOL.

Your kid didn’t make one of his teams. Got it. Why didn’t you just say that? No need to be nasty.

CFC South? They have 1 boys team at 2007 which is filled with players who tried out unsuccessfully for both Shoreline and Chelsea Piers. I think DS and DF arent worried about irrelevant CFC South, RS & JB

There are no local travel landscape? Greenwich plays CCSL, New Cannan and Darien (Rivals) play CCSL, Stamford are EDP, what towns are you referring to?

They probably meant "classic" travel. Some of those town programs are premier-light; they charge more, have somewhat better coaching and compete in leagues that are mostly comprised of premier clubs (popup and well established ones).

CFC has never been much of a boys club in the south have they? But on the girls side, it isn’t even close.

No, we went to his tryout and no one showed up.

Don't think anyone really cares about girls soccer...

True in many places, but in Connecticut, the only boys who have success in sports identify as girls and compete in the girls events.
