Ecnl teams are garbage now. And don’t list the 3 out of 30 that are to try a justify your scam.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThere will be about a half dozen different leagues next fall, each with one marquee club's A team, and a whole bunch of B teams to serve as fodder.
CU ECNL will be in ECNL. (FCP will be part of the fodder in this case).
Thorns will be in GDA, obviously. They'll be fodder, but hey, it's all about development.
WashT will play in PSPL or RCL or some other Evergreen State league, and not bother to cross the river. Their B team will play in OYSA and beat up on half the field.
GPS will wind up in a rebooted NWCL, but unlike the old format, it won't be a highly disorganized tournament that anyone with a US Club Card can play in. No, the new format will be modelled on UEFA Champions League, in that only clubs whose kit and training are licensed from a top European side will be allowed in, and the territory will stretch from Santa Rosa to Billings, MT, to Anchorage. (GPS will be the only Oregon team). The double-sided fixture between Hillsboro* GPS Bayern Munich and the Liverpool Elite Soccer Boise Indians will be epic. And the website still won't work worth a damn.
*or whatever club MJ burrows his head into.
The FC, OPFC/WUSC/LOSC, and THUSC girls, possibly UPDX, will get finally get their no-travel, no-money-for-Merritt league off the ground, and play each other mainly. Nobody else will care because these are all B teams. They'll save a lot of money, will rock their Nikes, and have the satisfaction of not giving Peregrine a dime. The league will disband next year when the coaches realize how much they miss the mileage and per diem from those long road trips to Medford.
The Timbers Alliance teams (minus WashT) will be left in OYSA, along with PCU, Salmon Creek and such. This will be the most competitive local competition, with Westside and Eugene duking it out for the league titles and State Cup.
It will be glorious! Six different clubs, at the end of the season and heading into tryouts, will be able to proclaim themselves the Best Team In The State at pretty much any age group, and nobody will be able to prove them wrong.

It’s just kids trying to play a game and have a little fun. Quit trying to put them down. It’s not fair.
