Yale women’s head coach out... again

The new head coach of Yale’s women’s soccer team is out after just one year on the job. Allegations of groping and consensual relationship with a player at previous college coaching job by former players.

Any idea who is in running?

I didn't start the thread but Yale is local -ish - and of interest (even if just in parents' dreams :)). They sure were in hot water with the Varsity Blues mess so having to look again is not a good look for the school. Supposedly he married one of his former players from when he coached at UMA. Even if a player is technically a consenting adult no coach should ever get involved with their athletes.

But being a man dressing like a woman teaching young kids is ok or being a man but identifying as a woman and competing against woman is fine.Ya makes a lot of sense.

How did Yale miss that red flag? Really too bad. Should be zero tolerance for that type of behavior from a coach!

Because there's no criminal record. Sounds like his prior employer didn't know about it either. Even when employers know they only give basic information in phone calls - when did they work there, what was their position, how much were they paid. That's it. If you accuse someone of something like that and it's false? Cha-ching for the accused and their attorney.

This is on the Yale AD. After the varsity blues thing Coaches, especially men coaches of women's sports should have been vetted through traditional channels AND private investigators. Yale had too much to lose.

If it was never reported, which it may not have been, what's to investigate? If a prior employer knew then ethically it's on them but not legally. There's a fine line between providing information and protecting people's privacy and possibly slandering someone.

Protests at the football game. Students arrested. Another coaching scandal. AD must be on the hot seat

They were protesting climate change and knew it was a high profile game (vs Harvard). Not sure AD could anticipate that and most likely security is handled through campus police
