It's fun to watch to a point... but the reason ratings suck is that it's just not as entertaining as a mens game.

How many men swing at a ball in the air and miss completely? Perhaps 1 or 2 on rare occasions. In the womens game at least a dozen times you see players failing to even make contact with a ball. "Her first touch let her down" seems to be the most common phrase said by all commentators.

Women's Sports in general are not as entertaining as the men's game. Women's sports are basically an extension of social engineering to satisfy egos and are part of the general feminist agenda that has drastically changed society. If only as much energy and focus was placed on the most important aspect of around 60 % of women, which is Motherhood. it now appears to be a lost art with the increased rate of divorce, unwed Mothers and the trend towards daycare raised children. Indeed Progressives like Liz Warren are proposing Government paid for and provided pre school care , for certain socio-economic strata , so the Government can basically take over the rearing of children for a portion of society.

A fair comparison is the WNBA. I don't think anyone is surprised that WNBA players are played less than the men. They sell less tickets per game, lower viewership, lower ad/sponsor dollars, sell less swag. Viewership for men's vs women's March Madness is also night and day. Basketball is a much more popular sport but very few pay attention to women's basketball.

The best woman player in the world is sitting out the WC in her quest for equal pay. That’s commitment

It should be very simple. How much money does the women’s team bring in? How much does the men’s team? Just look in the stands of the women’s World Cup other than France and the US and they are empty. This just not the same why can’t people understand?
