Do they play the same opponents? Or the same level of competition? Nope.

argument was made for "working harder" if each gender puts in the same amount of hours training....maybe that should be grounds for equal pay? perhaps as Base Pay rate? Perhaps the men should get paid more obviously since they draw more fans? Perhaps this should be additional to a base pay?....I think I might be on to something????!!!

Who cares how many hours they train. Are we compensating them for effort or the final product. The reality is that even a losing mens team puts out a more enjoyable soccer performance than a top womens team. I can't watch the bad touches, poor passes, slow pace. How many men swing at a ball in the air and miss completely? Perhaps 1 or 2 on rare occasions. In the womens game at least a dozen times you see players failing to even make contact with a ball. "Her first touch let her down" seems to be the most common phrase said by all commentators.

It's fun to watch to a point... but the reason ratings suck is that it's just not as entertaining as a mens game.

Kinda hard to make that distinction when one gender is at the top of the mountain compared to the rest of the world....and the other gender is way at the bottom losing to 3rd word countries with a total population less than say Connecticut.

The final product could also be defined as trophies or hitting certain targets like making the top 16 or similar. Yet they already have that in their contract. If they want to change the terms of their contract then change it, don't waste time and money in court for a prior agreement the squad agreed to

Women's Sports in general are not as entertaining as the men's game. Women's sports are basically an extension of social engineering to satisfy egos and are part of the general feminist agenda that has drastically changed society. If only as much energy and focus was placed on the most important aspect of around 60 % of women, which is Motherhood. it now appears to be a lost art with the increased rate of divorce, unwed Mothers and the trend towards daycare raised children. Indeed Progressives like Liz Warren are proposing Government paid for and provided pre school care , for certain socio-economic strata , so the Government can basically take over the rearing of children for a portion of society.

what the F_ck are you talking about????here it is in a nutshell....most people in Connecticut (but not all, i know) are liberal faggots who prefer and enjoy watching grown men play a sissy game like soccer.

A real man would most definitely enjoy watching women play soccer more...when they celebrate...whoa baby!!!

One could argue then that the MNT has a cake walk while the MNT has to work harder for scraps. But pay isn't based on effort or challenge but results. Dollar results with a bonus for bringing home some metal.

A fair comparison is the WNBA. I don't think anyone is surprised that WNBA players are played less than the men. They sell less tickets per game, lower viewership, lower ad/sponsor dollars, sell less swag. Viewership for men's vs women's March Madness is also night and day. Basketball is a much more popular sport but very few pay attention to women's basketball.

It's very easy to make the distinction. Do they play the same teams? In front of the same crowds? Just because they play the same sport does not mean they are doing the "same work".

This is spot on. The US women bargained for this contract. Stop whining about it

The best woman player in the world is sitting out the WC in her quest for equal pay. That’s commitment

It should be very simple. How much money does the women’s team bring in? How much does the men’s team? Just look in the stands of the women’s World Cup other than France and the US and they are empty. This just not the same why can’t people understand?

USSF gets money and they can divide any why they want. They don’t value the women as much so they pay them less.
