I don't know anything about that age group but I do know that the entire OC DA from the 05's and up are awful and always in last place. They discriminate against other kids and parents who are not part of the in crowd.

You just sound bitter and sad, I doubt you actually follow these teams, probably just didn't make it last year

The current u18 team is in 1st place on their way to the playoffs and u16/17 are in 4th place on their way to the playoffs. Both out of a 14 team difficult southeast division. Both 04 and 05 teams will get much stronger next year with the influx of players coming in. Clearly, you have no idea about the garbage you are spewing.

OC has been saying this “next year they will come” crap for years. Monteverde is more of the same. Fact is the best players move on because this program is not a serious MLS academy. It is going to take years to reverse the damage done by the politics and incompetence of the dynamic duo and the club will need to step up and actually fund its academy and stop doing the absolute bare minimum. Program is a joke and one life support at Monteverde. There focus is now on trying to get more Ivory Coast 25 year olds cleared to play by FIFA and us soccer. Not developing local (or even American) players. Joke.

people let it go about the dynamic duo, they had good intentions and great vision, needed more support. either way you can't blame your kids lack of success on them. get over it.

Sure the 04 will be stronger and thats only because some will make the 03/04 incorporated team. Alit on the current 04s will either need to move on or take the ECNL team. My guess is only a few 04s will even maje that team

if you look at the current U16/17 roster, there are only a few '03 left (look at recent games played) quite a few left as they were getting no playing time and being used as glorified ball boys in practices. not very forward thinking from the Montverde coaches. so for the next season they have 3 choices: have an almost all 2004 team with a smattering of 03's; pull players from the school that are 03 birth year or pray that some of the 03's that they dumped to ECNL last year are willing to come back... even their gk's are 02's...

I would not worry about tryouts, at this point in the "season" if your child has not been identified and they have not reached out to you and you are in the Central Florida area, they are not interested. it is just the reality of DA.

How many foreign players with African names on team. Great job for development of game in the USA.

Oh yes, pure heart, empty head is such s good defense for running a program into the ground.

Monteverde is a private international school which operates a business of collecting tuition for a profit. An MLS academy is to place professionals into their MLS roster. Both are conflicting intersts.
