    ODP Rigged

Funny how rigged the ODP is. Where coaches choose half of their own team to participate in the Regional Camp. Seriously, how can one team in a lightly populated area have 4 eleven year old girls that represent the future of Women's soccer. Folks it's just not statistically possible. If FYSA WANTS TO GROW THE ODP PROGRAM THEN RIGGING A BUNCH OF 5TH GRADERS NEEDS TO ADDRESSED. DOC'S USING THE ODP TO MARKET THEIR OWN PROGRAM IS ANTITHETICAL TO PLAYER DEVELOPMENT...

Strickland has been doing it for years! Now you got this guy Baker taking his prime/Boca kids. This is why the drop off at the older ages is so big. It takes a few years before you really start seeing the BS. U11 should be ok for a year or so

Could you be referring to ADAM "DICK" GEE. That man is the mastermind of looking like a winner. He is more of a wiener. He also conveniently picked all his girls and then took pics of them in ODP shirts, that exact weekend promoted those pics on facebook. This has to stop.

        Future of women’s soccer?

A bit presumptuous to say the very least.

Sounds like someone is upset that their 11 y/o didn’t get selected.

My son's Division 2 team has 5 ODP players. Two made the Regional teams.

Maybe - since like that coaches a really good coach. Apparently since he also coaches the odp team, he must have been able to make his players really good. New Jersey-long time ago had a couple of players on the same high school team who later played for the real national team. By that, I mean the men's national team.

Our daughter was a GK and in ODP for several years. One year, the Tennessee coach who was very involved in ODP Region III was the head of our daughter's age group. Sure enough, after R3 camp in Alabama, they announce the 2 GKs going to the Thanksgiving Camp in Florida: both from Tennessee teams - both from the same club that the ODP coach from Tennessee coaches with. So after a 6-month long selection process, evaluating GKs from 11 States in R3, the 2 best GKs in an age group come from a single club in Tennessee with a coach that is heavily involved in ODP?

We brought this to the attention of Strickland - he never answered our messages. Daugther decided to punch out of ODP after that. She's committed to a high level D1 program in Fall, 2019. She benefitted from ODP but the politics are brutal and the Florida ODP leadership are complete push-overs.

Did the title give it away?

Or they bring you to Alabama on the A team and then move you to the B team once you get there.

Maybe your team should be playing D1. What club are you with?

We have 3 players that could easily play D1 but as a team we came in 5th in D2. Those 3 kids should be playing D1 but circumstances don't allow it.

What is the purpose of the ODP

If you want to find the best players, you need to look for them. We live in a small, rural community and if the big programs control the ODP then talented players never get the opportunity. What is the purpose of the ODP? Is it really to find talented players. If it was you would come watch some of the Mexican kids play at our local school on the weekends.
