Some of the "commitments" that have been revealed over the past season are basically a farce because most of those players aren't even getting 30% in scholarships.

A general point using your example, a kid who "doesn't want to be the 6th recruit at UNC or Penn State" is signalling that they dont want to compete with the best players for time. I have no issue with that at all, but its still a signal.
Also, sometimes it is about wanting to play immediately and be on field making an impact. Maybe she wanted to stay in NJ. Rutgers was ok for Lloyd, I am sure it will be fine for her if she wants to stay playing and continue in the NT system. She's already there, so the coaches already see her all the time. I guess its just who knows why she chose Rutgers. Most likely a bunch of different reasons factored.

Find something else to talk about. All you need to know is that she is happy where she is in her soccer journey.

No, they're good enough.
Great players get 75% to full rides; and many from our area just aren't getting those numbers. Their parents just want to make you think their kid is something special because they got a commit. IMO the "special" is shown in the money offered.
