The reason why there were 1 day games was because of covid and the games that were postponed from the fall. Also, some spring games were moved because individual teams had covid outbreaks so those teams were forced to play those games as 1 game trips. I would think it will go back to a similar format as the DA once the schedules go back to normal.

agreed, its the covid travel stuff that made a real mess of this year. My D plays ecnl and we had single game trips to MA and some schedule issues. Field availability, especially at municipal parks or HS fields was a huge issue a cross a bunch of states and continues to presnet problems. NExt year will be much better.

GA & ECNL travel is probably pretty similar.

Yes Covid caused issues this year, but in general GAL (and old GDA) only do one game/weekend. It's part of their philosophy of more training, more rest, fewer games. ECNL has travel partners so you travel every other weekend and get two games per weekend (most of the time, sometimes a few glitches).

Totally False. All you have to do is look at the schedules on the GAL website and you can see 2 game weekends. The rule with the DA and now the GA was you weren't allowed to play 3 days in row.

100%. People are stuck trying to apply the GA "rules" to GAL.

The only single games we've played were in-state. Anything requiring travel were 2x/weekend.

GA changed to the more liberal sub rules, which negates the need to do the 4 trainings / 1 game per week DA rule (which DA didn't adhere to anyway).

They do the same thing as ecnl most weeks, 3 pracitces and 2 games.

On the road 6 hours one way for a game to Massachusetts ECNL NE division

They also eliminated the HS restriction. So now it's just like ECNL only 5x weaker.

After this weekend, I’m not so sure about that.

                      You must drive very slowly.

My kid was on PDA blue and we had 2 practices a week and then an optional 1 fitness training. With many cancellations due to weather.
