    Parents - Sideline Behavior

Yikes. Child plays U16 club and just got a note from the coach that some parents were calling out other kids on our team during the game.

I thought we all stopped this nonsense after U12? Is there anywhere in the US where parents just shut up on the sidelines?

Parents can be out of control. Once saw a U8 (yes, U8) girls TOWN coach punch a father of one of his own players at a tournament.

    He was arrested.

    Not kidding.

GPS parents on low level teams were the absolute worst.

Never seen anything like it - SCREAMING at their own kids and other team members literally on every touch.

Eviscerated the refs at every turn like it was a world cup. Just completely asinine behavior.

There is NO reason a coach on a U12 boys NEP crap team should get a red card. EVER!! and that happened.

it is ALWAYS the RI idiots that act like buffoons. Don’t see it as much in Mass.

I believe it. Definitely a bayside dad.

Coach should have addressed this at the beginning of the season... back in November when the team had finished high school and started training and playing tournaments. Cheer and support the team and your player. Don’t yell at other players, referees or coach. Keep it positive at all times. 1st offense is a warning. Next one, player sits the bench. After that, parent isn’t allowed on the sideline. Wait in the car or drop offthr player and leave until the match is over. Really that simple.

I've always thought RI parents were ok. FL parents, that is a different story

I see it worst at U11-U13. After that, reality sets in that their son / daughter is not a future world star.

Then they usually move on and focus their lack of emotional intelligence on other equally illogical targets (their dog, the neighbor, the local pro sports team, etc.)

How about coaches sideline behavior. Central Falls Boys u14 coach got a red card this weekend. Suspended by Superliga. Great example to the kids.
