Commonwealth is a town team. or play like it. extremely low level soccer
CFC 2008 team beat Bolts east elite team last season 6-0 and playing in NEP premiership, We came from GPS and and coaching and fields much better at CFC. See team ranked 12 in state below. Good level.

I am sure that bolts east elite team would love to hear that is their 8th team and CFC also beat a bunch of other bolts teams including south and boston. Rankings tell it all

The only reason why Bolts East has grown over the past year was the GPS South Shore Infusion with bring RT over, and the 2005 Infusion of CFC players when PE left CFC.
Organically doubt they have brought in more than 10 new players overall that did not follow a coach/team, especially with the $2,700 cost to play teams like AFC and CFC that are 2.5x to 2.7x cheaper and not get much better coaching.
The Bolts East 2008 Group is especially not very deep with talent and bodies.
There are some better players than starters on the 2006 to 2008 Bolts Easts teams at CFC (Braintree) (Select Affiliate) and America FC (Quincy) (Bolts Affiliate) teams
A couple of years ago DW pulled some crap and a bunch 07s went running for the hills to Mass City and other neighboring more affordable teams.
The 05s and up have most stayed the same group and are mostly Weymouth High players because BM is still coaching there. All political to ensure they make the HS team.

2006 Bolts East vs CFC this weekend. Get the popcorn ready for that one. My son plays on Bolts East 2007 (NPL level) and have 7 kids playing MLS Next at either the Bolts or NEFC so I think that group is probably doing ok.

What explain to me how your sons team has kids that play on MLS next teams? Also how players could play for a different clubs at the same time? Or do you mean your sons team has players that played for those other teams. I would say if bolts East has to bring in 7 players that play mls next to win the the East program isn’t doing well also needs 7 players to add to their roster.

The bolts team will blow out CFC. CFC is a mid level championship level team in 06, absolutely nothing special, fine, but nothing great
What is the point of this post? To tell parents that they are wasting their money? Or, to tell everyone how great Braintree and Weymouth soccer is for U14 soccer? I am sure that the post can't be to make others extremely envious of Weymouth and Braintree......or is it?
I would ask the one question: Which level of the club did the teams come from? I would add the following: It isn't unusual or too surprising that game play and skill are variable at the younger ages. It also isn't unusual that while kids are learning to play proper soccer i.e. not kick and run, that their game play is hampered. The kids learning and employing soccer skills and proper game play may certainly be beaten by a more athletic team with mediocre skill.
All that said, while most parents might be 'wasting' their money, especially with lower tier club teams, it is their money theirs to choose how to spend it. When you consider that parents might spend 10,000 dollars or more for summer camp, spending 2-5K for a year around soccer club doesn't really seem like much, especially if your child is have a good time, learning a skill, and getting some exercise.
So funny that CFC parents would brag about the club. They love to talk about how little they pay vs other clubs, then in the same breath complain about parent coaches, few tournaments and lack of competition. They also benefit from using Braintree fields for no $$, but lose their mind if they see another club using them.

This is great it’s been awhile since someone brought up CFC. Must have missed the threads about CFC complaining about stuff can you forward that to me?

Alternatively your child can have a good time, learn a skill and get some exercise in a town or travel program for $100 a year?
Braintree and Weymouth town team parents have no clue what being on a real club team can do for their kids.
CFC keep winning on both the boys and girls side, If you look at their teams performance over last 3 years probably one of the highest winning percentage out there and all play against all the big teams - There are same couple of people that are so jealous of this club as they have fields and only cost 1200 dollars for the entire year. they also do the right things for their players and have great college contacts. These are facts as my kids have played for 2 other clubs and what you get at CFC is amazing.
