there was deff over 75 kids there last night. It looked very competitive. I didnt really see any players that would stand out on ECNL but there were plenty of above average players out there to help out this age group from top to bottom. FSA could easily field 3 full teams at this age group

FSA wont get any better. It will be the same old crap on both the boys and girls side. The girls will continue to do poorly and the boys will struggle in mediocrity.
All ownership sees is $$$$. Doubt anyone actually gets "cut". They will happily take your $ and hire some crap coach. Boys side is no different.

And yet, year after year, the same sorry kids make the team until they stop coming to tryouts in a year or two. Over 150 kids at each tryout for 2 age groups when S+ got bought by FSA. They took half FSA players and half S+ players. Very strong turnout next year ..... Still no turn over. No one came back after that. Doesn't matter how many show up if they never get evaluated or the in, coaches, and owners are afraid to bite the hand that has ready fed them. Ecnl once, ecnl for life.

there is going to be movement this year with FSA 08s. Players will be moved down, players will be moved up, new players brought in and players will be cut

Keep telling yourself that but don't hold your breath.$5 you will still be scratching your head for many players when rosters come out.

Really? take a look at the ecnl standings. One team to regionals and thats a maybe. 04 and 06 at bottom of the pack or close to. 07 are in middle. 05 have a shot at regionals. Thats very good to you? I dont have a kid in this club but its easy to research.

Their 13 and 14s are #2 and #1 respectively with many games. After only 2 or 3 games for the older teams you are willing to put the nails in their coffins when they have historically been at the top of each age group. If nothing else, the U15-U18 teams are certainly top teams in CT even if they only end up 2nd or 3rd in the NE ECNL. You should lay off the crack this early. Don't start until at least noon tomorrow.

Here's what happens at FSA: their teams do better at the younger ages where they rely heavily on size and athleticism. Then it starts to fall apart around the high school years as puberty levels the playing field and skills take a more dominant role

Lay off the crack? thats so 1980's....do try and come up with something more derogatory please.

You dont know these teams that well. They will be lucky to get one team to regionals. Ill hope for the best though. oh, and the 14's are in fifth place- not one or two.

What needs to be done at fsa!

In order to change things around at fsa !! 1. Better coaching. 2. Up and down player movement depending on performance. 3. Cut throat decisions that will raise competitiveness and eventually, standards!!
