You are an absolute joke if you think the OPL state cup is higher level, Besides the point that you believe your own child to walk on water, and that therefore any competition she is in must be the most competitive, look at the teams involved…look at where you are led, and finally consider that anyone can choose to enter US CLUB REGIONALS by just signing up, there is no need to even play State Cup

Eastside is the current 2 time defending OPL State Cup Champion. THUSC finishing ahead of them in the Fall league doesn't make the current weakened OPL State Cup better.

The best state championship is the one with the best overall competition. By your line of reasoning the better men's college football conference many years would have been the one with Boise State vs the PAC-12 because Boise was ranked higher?

The only reason for state cup is to declare some team in state the champion. If the best team isn't involved then it's not really a state championship. The rest of the teams involved don't matter. If you think otherwise you are a fool.

The OPL State Cup at the 2000's (U13) age group is a joke. Only a moron who has never bothered to look at the Fall OPL standings would think the OPL side is stronger than the OYSA side.

I don't know where you are myopically focusing…In the age groups my BOYS play in ALL the best teams are in OYSA…There are a few teams that got stuck behind, but the almighty THUSC does not have a boys side, the only teams really missing are from FC Portland.

So I'm sorry but the shoe is firmly on the other foot, the "Best" teams will compete for the OYSA state cup and go on to a real regional/national tournament (there is actually a progression from the OYSA side…).

But go ahead tell yourself whatever you need to feel better…it is OK…your team can claim to be the best of the rest…have fun, and maybe one day you can play ECNL…that seems to be the salve all the OPL folks keep trying to use...

I think the current two state cup format in Oregon is great. Instead of sending one mediocre team at each age group to represent the state we get to send two. What's not to like?
