There seems to be too much here for any significant portion of it to be made up.

1) Do you have any black friends?
2) Do you have any black families in your neighborhood?
3) Have you invited 1 or 2 to your house?
4) Have you been involved in activities which include black folks?
Most answer no to all 4. How would you expect your kid to have a well developed view of this? Trump

Great questions and certainly a brief indication of a childs/family exposure to something other than their own. You don't need to be specific regarding white, black, asian Jew, Christian, Muslim. etc etc... However, these days the only group that anyone is concerned about is blacks. Not sure why you added 'Trump' at the end. I suppose we are going to talk about rhetoric now as well.
We are a yes to all four questions.......but.....
Without dismissing hate crimes against anyone, I am somewhat saddened about the agenda driven directions that tends to ignore full reality. Sure, hate crimes against blacks are present, and I absolutely agree with all prior posters who say that the parents are responsible for the upbringing of their kids. Up until a certain age, they are sponges and hear and remember what we say.
Statistically, blacks are still the largest target of hate crimes encompassing about 25% of those reported. However, that number has held steady or declined depending on what data you read. Anti-muslim sentiment peaked around 2001 but has stayed steady or declined and rests around 10%. Anti-hispanic reports have been steadily rising since 2010 and is about 20%. Over the last 10 years there has also been a steady increase in anti-semitism. We have witnessed this from coaches and from players. Sadly, anti-semitic crimes are perpetrated by groups representing both Democrat and Republican.......the media doesn't report too much of it since it is not part of their agenda....until, of course a horrific event occurs.
Crimes against blacks seem to be what the Democrat media wants to report, and that all whites should feel guilty about it.....even if they had nothing to do with it.
As has been said, parents, teachers, peers are influential. However, parents have the greatest opportunity to steer their kids in one direction or the other.

Simpletons.
Humans instinctively build hierarchies, and teenagers are especially crude, and often cruel in their methods. We can ban certain words or methods of teasing to make adults feel better, but it will still occur. Teach your kid resilience, and maybe they wont cut themselves, and please stop blaming Trump. He is a symptom not a cause.
