DA is already a national scouting pool. There are National team scouts at every game. No need for ODP.

Yes indeed every game! USSF staff has answered that it scouts GDA and everywhere looking for talent.

Does anyone have anything that remotely resembles "proof" that ODP is corrupt?
Not sure what you want for "proof" but just look at the roster that started this whole thread:

        http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/schedul...nterregional_/

Click to the 00/01 South roster. There are 2 GKs. One plays for Tennessee FC U17 ECNL, the other plays for Tennessee FC U18/19 ECNL.

They have been coached by the same club coach and that coach's Bio includes:
ODP State Team Coach- NC, SC and TN
        Member of Region III staff
Region III Age Group Asst Coach
Region III Age Group Head Coach
        Asst Director of Region III

So we are supposed to believe the "best" GK in the entire 2019 age group in a 12-State area and the "best" GK in the entire 2020 age group in a 12-State area JUST HAPPEN to play at the same club and JUST HAPPEN to have a club coach with a leadership role in Region III ODP?

So after months and months of "tryouts" that are held across 12 States and then a week long camp in Alabama, these 2 GKs emerge as the "best" GKs to represent Region III and there is nothing political?

Even worse, a month after the Thanksgiving Interegionals they'll get invited to go on an ODP International trip because they "played so well at Thanksgiving."

I don't blame the girls- they're just along for the ride but this is embarrassing.

Like making it on a NT it can be more about who you know.

I thought if you play GDA you are not aloud to play in ODP? Is this correct?

              Correct. It's not necessary

Communicate with U.S.Soccer and if it approves the player doing ODP then yes they can.

Well.... you hear rumors all the time. But for a club coach to politic to get their 2 players into the only spots available on the team is pretty low. Seems greedy to take both GK spots for your players.

you think ODP is bad, check out the selection process for the Us national teams youth teams, boys and girls, coaches calling in favors, emailing harassing the "scouts". if a coach has a kid, 99 percent guaranteed they are in the pools... no wonder we suck at soccer, what an f-ing joke... the selection process needs to be completely revamped.. think tab ramos will fix it?

Imagine if DA could have fixed things with a different platform. It’s back to the good ole days of club soccer GDA and politics as usual.

What is really troubling about this is the fact that the ODP staff from 11 other States didn't take exception to this? Like, not a single person involved in all of Region III ODP said, "OK. you can slime your GK into one of the two spots but there is no way we can all keep a straight face and let you slime your players into both of the open spots."

                            ODP = FIFA

No fair way to slime 12 states worth of 2000 teams and 2001 teams at Region camp into one 99/00/01 Region III team of ODP players. Suggest ODP re-evaluate what it is doing. U.S.Youth Soccer has lots of talent and it needs to live up to its goals.

So these are supposed to represent that top players from a 12-State area?

17 out of 18 girls list a Graduation Year
                                3 - 2018
                                9 - 2019
                                5 - 2020

Why combine 00/01 - these are the prime recruiting years? And if you're going to combine, why have 5 2020s?

And for the 2018s - they are 3 of the top soccer players in the 12 state Region 3 and they are not committed yet - that should have happened last year for them?

Through the years ODP has done some "strange" things but this makes no sense.
ODP must find a way to bring a u19-u18 and a u17 team. Better yet have the Regions send two u17 teams and one u19/u18 team to Boca because it is a prime recruiting year.
